“It's the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.” - Paulo Coelho
oh hey there...
Born and raised in Compton, CA I was first introduced to photography during my high school years. I began my photographic journey in the dark room and fell in love with film photography. Having creative control in my photos behind the lens and in the development process allowed me to grow a creative eye.
I pursued my passion for photography at the University of California, Santa Cruz where I received my B.A. in Photography and Sociology. Using both film and digital, my art work focuses on societal themes such as culture, communities, and identity.
Recently relocated to New York City to pursue my Masters Degree at Columbia Univeristy, Harlem has become my new muse for creativity in my photography. I approach my personal photographs and projects in the same way I do my customers' photographs - with the intention to capture a point in history and emotion.
